Filmy Flavours, Sector 63, Noida
We come many different kinds of restaurants, lounges, eateries ever now and then. But not all of them leave a lasting impression on our minds. We usually end up remembering the ones which have either the best food, or the best theme; In rare cases, both!
Talking about the theme based restaurants, Bollywood theme has been one of the most famous ones. Bollywood Biistro, Mumbai Matinee, Box Office Cafe are some of the famous names. One such understated place is Filmy Flavours in Sector 63, Noida!
There is something about this place which makes it a better bollywood themed restaurant.
The minute you enter the place, you see stories related to various movies and characters, from the early 80s to the year 2015.
Cutouts from famous movies and iconic roles like, three bums from 3 Idiots, Krishh, DDLJ; sitting is divided into booths the walls of which are also covered with Facts about actors/actresses, installations and props, and even the names of dishes are bollywoody!
Once I was done admiring the ambiance, I decided to get myself a mocktail.
I ordered Cucumber Cooler, and Blue Curacao
Out of these two, I really liked Blue Curacao because of its refreshing yet sweet taste!
Trying so hard to focus on the dishes, but I was taken away from the point by the fun names!
Mohabbat hai Mirgh Murgh Tikka:
These murgh tikkas were prepared with all the chinese feels, one could easily enjoy the authentic chinese taste that these tikka bought to the table!
Soft and juicy pieces, done with the right tastes, with all the sides made a pretty nice starter.
Another old school starter were the Chilly Paneer Peggy Chops
Rock & Roll Chicken Salt and Pepper were chicken fingers, though a little dry but were crisp and tasted amazing. They had a chatpata taste, with the soft chicken within. Highly recommended with the dips!
Definitely impressed by their Chinese starters,
we ordered for Dil Maange Chicken Manchurian (Gravy) with Chicken Faffy Fried Rice.
Not that this combination tasted bad, they tasted pretty decent, but lacked the wow factor.
Go for a safe bet.
Badshah Murgi Makhan Masala was another old school classic!
Have it with Geruha Garlic Naan and you are sure to have a good Indian main course!
Ending the meal with Phirni and mousse.
The phirni was one of the bests that I had.
The mousse was however, no where close to what mousse are like.
It was basically flavored cream.
I ordered for Kiwi and Mango mousse, loved the little tastes of mango and kiwi that I kept getting every now and then. Name them something else, and you have a good dessert.
Also, they are served in a shot glass.
An amazingly done bollywood themed restaurant,
what I wish for is that they maintain it to like it is right now for a really long time to go,
with decent food and super steal buffet option!
Probably one of the best in Sector 63, Noida.
Don't miss it.
